Recently, people tend to neglect family relationships because of their smartphones, various devices, and focusing on their busy lives. In contrast, we came up with a system that allows families to contact and pay attention to each other often through smartphones and various devices. An example of reduced family interest is solitude. Solitary death refers to a case in which a person lives alone, separated from his or her family, relatives, and society, and then dies without anyone knowing and has been left unattended for a long time. This is not a legal or administrative term, nor a term that is not defined in the dictionary. However, statistics from 2016 show that 3.5 percent of all deaths amount to solitary deaths. In the history of isolation, social alienation was the biggest factor, especially the break-up of exchanges with family members.
Most of the isolated incidents occur because children live their busy lives independently of their parents and do not care about their parents. Such a problem can be solved in a simple way: to enable continuous communication and exchange with family members. The telecommunications system called "Call me maybe," which will be introduced in the proposal, displays a smartphone notification in a pop-up window when there is little contact with family members, reminding users to contact their family members. This is a function that can be used by anyone who uses a mobile phone, which not only builds a system for profit but also improves the image of a company and promotes it.
The first targets of the "Call me maybe system" are dormitory students and international students who live far away from their parents. For children far away from their families, the way to get to know each other's situation is by far the contact via phone or SNS. This is also the first step in the process of helping parents get a good grasp of information about their children. The main algorithm of the system is an artificial intelligence model based on data sets, which analyzes SNS (Kakao Talk, Facebook, messages, telephones, etc.) on a user's smartphone to calculate the average time not contacted by the family (parent, brother, etc.). If you draw a line graph of the time you have not contacted in this process, you will see a graph that is tilted to the left as shown below, and the average will be lowered overall, except if you do not contact them within two days.
After the calculation of the mean, the system sets itself on the basis of the average value and begins to measure the time not in contact with the family. That is, the time from the last contact to the next contact is measured. Two situations can be derived from this: the first is when the next contact was made before the average time. This starts a new measurement from the first time it has been contacted. The following is the case of failure to contact them before the average time. In this case, if the average amount of time that is calculated is over, a message will appear asking you to contact your family using a smartphone pop-up alarm. After that, new alarms and phrases appear over time as many times as the average time.
The final change will be the average of the time spent in contact, as the time taken during the above process changes each time. This makes each time in the system a single data that can be calculated through linear regression. In other words, the process of recalculating the mean by adding another data to the originally set mean is repeated. The schematic representation of this is as follows.
This system doesn't stop here. The second target of the "Call me Maybe" system is an elderly person living alone who is socially isolated. As I introduced earlier, one of the important problems in modern society is the solitude of the elderly. To reduce this, Call me maybe has adopted a plan to use the Internet of Things, not just the text messaging system. If a TV channel is fixed for a long time, it is considered that there is a risk of dying alone and texted the family first. Of course, they can watch one channel for a long time, so secondly, they have adopted a sure way to notify the family and the police if the television doesn't turn off for two days. This system can be devised through artificial intelligence and linear return, just like the method for international students and dormitories.
This business idea of 'call me maybe' does not directly bring revenue to the enterprise. The key is in advertising and improving corporate image. Since the system targets economically challenged senior citizens, it is difficult to make a profit when distributed for a fee because the volume of transactions is too small. The goal is to make this system available to as many people as possible. The primary purpose is to maintain a smooth relationship between users and their families as a social enterprise. (Students-Parents, Children-Old Men Living Alone)
But the system also brings revenue to the companies that distribute it. The first way to make a profit is to place an advertisement at the same time as the notification when it is posted. Second, improving the corporate image can increase the number of customers by giving people a good impression of the company.
By inserting this system into advertising, we can give consumers a good image of the enterprise.
As a method of public relations after commercialization, it shows the excellence of the system by comparing the solitude death rate according to the use of the system and at the same time instills awareness among consumers that it is a company that saves people and protects the love between family members.
After all, the "Call me maybe system" helps to improve the image of a company economically while addressing a number of recent social problems by allowing families to be interested in each other even if they are far apart.
